Christmas Book Ideas: For Foodies

It’s day two of 12 days of Christmas book ideas to help you find great book ideas for your own Christmas present list or to get for other people. So, on the second day of Christmas, it is… Foodie books.

One of the things that has helped to revive people’s interest in all things cooking is, of course, The Great British Bake-Off (although whether this has actually got more people cooking and baking or is just about watching other people do it is another question). The latest ‘mainstream’ Bake Off book is out and there is also a new Christmas one. Plus a huge range of books by Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood

TV chef’s still seem to rule the roost in terms of recipe books, which includes people like Lorraine Pascale, Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall

You could also try some more international cuisines, such as Persiana or Plenty More, which both have a Middle Eastern flavour to them. Or if Indian food is of interest then something like Made in India might hit the spot.

Then if you need something to wash all of that down, you could try The World Atlas of Wine. However, if your more interested in other people providing the food and drink, you could try The Good Food Guide 2015 or The Good Pub Guide 2015.

I hope you find some inspiration. Do you have any good foodie books to recommend?

Here are all the books mentioned above and a few others to consider:
